Support: hello@duplessisinnovations.com

Draft. Not legal advice. Pending approval by Jeanne-Michael du Plessis, Duplessis Innovations. These steps match the delete-account path in the product. The surrounding wording is still a draft.

In the app

Sign in to GuardianLink on your phone.
Open Account (top right on Today or School).
Read what is deleted and what the school keeps.
Type DELETE and tap Delete my account.

Principals can also do this on the school portal: sign in at guardianlink-portal.vercel.app, open the user menu, and choose Delete my account.

By email

If you cannot sign in, email hello@duplessisinnovations.com from the address on the account. Say that you want the GuardianLink login deleted. Duplessis Innovations will work with the school, the responsible party under POPIA, to complete the request.

What is deleted

Your login (the Auth user)
Your personal profile (name and phone on the profile)
Your ability to sign in to that school. Memberships are revoked, then removed with the login
Parent and guardian login links, so the school can invite someone else

What the school keeps

These stay as the school’s records:

Daily reports, care logs, checklists, and checkout comments
Announcements
Class allocations. The teacher name on the allocation is detached
Child, family, and enrolment records

If you are the only active principal of a school, the product will refuse and ask you to appoint another principal first, so the school is not locked out.

See the Privacy Policy for how long school records are intended to be kept.
